It’s a great place to stay.Location is very beautiful and close to nature. place is very well maintained...Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner Mr Rakesh and his father. They were extremely friendly.Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were small but comfortable.loved the ambience. All the touridt places are nor very far from this honestay. Ths best part was the hospitality from Mr Rakesh. We had a small bad incident while going to one of the falls. I called him for his help and he immidiately came in his car and dropped us back to the homestay. Very kind gentleman. We were pleased by his help. Excellent stay, hospitality, good people. Felt like home. Rakesh is very welcoming, calm yet very friendly. Rakesh's dad makes us feel like a family member. Simple, humble and very inspiring. For his age he's very active and takes care of us like our own elderly people at home. Yathin, is the hero of the home. He entertains the inmates effortlessly. He's just 16 yrs old and takes us around the plantation to view sunset, to trekking to see the sunrise. Lovely ❤kid. Very courageous, lovable, spontaneous, lively, best photographer. Yathin, God bless you. You have a very bright future. Whoever visits coorg, you should stay ar Rakesh's place to have a peaceful , spacious, cozy home. It has breath taking view. Our stay at Doddakallu Betta Homestay was truly exceptional! Rakesh welcomed us with open arms, making us feel instantly at home in their charming traditional house. The highlight was definitely the delicious home-cooked meals showcasing authentic local cuisine coorgi style, prepared with fresh ingredients from their garden. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had beautiful views of the surrounding countryside wifh coffe plantation. Rakesh also went above and beyond by arranging a guided tour of nearby places which provided an invaluable cultural immersion. Moreover his parents treated us as their own family members and a good time spent with good memories. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Doddakallu Betta Homestay Coorg. This was our first time staying in a homestay accommodation, so we were skeptical in the beginning, however, the way we have been greeted was heart whelming. And we really liked the food that was served. Home cooked, super healthy and super tasty. I will highly recommend this homestay to everyone who is planning to visit Coorg. They also make it a point to take you on a walk to their estate which is huge and has all the type of trees, crops and vegetation. The rates are also reasonable compared to the amazing service we received. We were treated like a family and they ensured all our requirements are heard and fulfilled on time. A definately recommended place to spend time with your family and friends .. i stayed there a week ago on one of the weekend with my friends .. woow wt a mesmerizing evening we had there , a warm welcome by the family wit a hot coffee and snacks .. clean n well hygiene rooms and beds definately the restroom was so spick n span . A well mentioned property which was not heavy on our pockets too .. coming to food .. we had ordered pork , a must say fingerlicking taste Thanks to Aunty , followed by akki rotti and complimentary fish fry too .. Hello, We were part of 7 riders from riders64 group and after searching for a place to stay found this Doddakallu betta homestay . The enquiry , booking everything went well and the Host Mr Rakesh and family are very welcoming and the food served were truly homely . We were treated with some great tasty pork , chicken fry and breakfast/Dinner were absolutely tasty . I would definitely recommend the place for group , individuals looking for a super calm homestay and very near to the somwarpete town. The attitude of all the people in the homestay is positive which makes a good vibe Would definitely visit this place whenever I am in somwarpete .. ~ Praveen T

Truly one of the best home stays I’ve stayed in. The hospitality, comfort and genuine care shown by the family is beyond gratified. Spread across 12 acres of land, Mr Rakesh and his family have one of the best spots if you’re looking for a low-key getaway surrounded with lush greenery and silence all around. A 5 min walk through a trail inside their property leads you to a calm brookside amidst picturesque landscape and trees all around. At night they also set up a campfire on request and it’s definitely a highlight. Both the rooms are maintained well, clean and tidy with an attached washroom. There’s also a sit-out area with board games and an oven too. Food is provided on request and the nearest restaurant is 4km away. Overall it’s a great stay for a group if your objective is to escape into a quiet safe space with nature and a home away from home experience. ~ Richie

We stayed here for a night and had a really pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful greenery, making it a peaceful place to unwind. The hospitality was exceptional the hosts were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Although we didn't get a chance to try their food or enjoy the swimming pool, they served us hot tea and coffee, which was incredibly soothing in the rainy weather and made us feel right at home. We were a group of 5 friends for a weekend getaway and it's been One of the best homestays i have ever been in Coorg! A bit far away from Coorg but worth it, away from the city's hustle and bustle! Well maintained rooms, hot water when needed, the location is awesome! The highlight of the homestay is their food... Chicken Biriyani was lip smacking!! And their Coorg style pork just wow!! All prepared by Ajji...I met her when we were leaving, but couldn't express myself to her for the food she prepared for us! The campfires were awesome so that we friends could drink and enjoy the weekend. Rakesh.. Thank you for hosting us and bearing with us for 2 days. We had the best weekend at your place and couldn't ask more! And the wine was Awesome!! Will recommend this place for my friends and family...cz it felt like a home away from home... It a great place to stay and relax.I had been for my first Workcation.I kept my expectation minimal before visiting. At the end it turned out to be the best experience for me.Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained...Upon arrival i was warmly welcomed by the Host (Entire family)I got the family feeling through out my stay. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. I loved the ambience. Food was delicious and very well prepared.(Special Thanks to Rakesh's Mother and Wife) I felt like I was at my home. I was accompanied by Rakesh's Father and Yatin for the Trekking to near by hill which was an unbelievable experience. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again and again. Beautiful Homestay amidst lush greenary around. Acres of coffee, Cardamom, pepper plantation around this place. There is a secret stream water behind the Homestay, There is a very close sunset point. All are juz walkable, nice ambiance around. There are fruit trees & feel happy to see hibiscus flowers blooming. The rooms & washroom clean & hygenic. Safe place for family. Food was very tasty, typical Malnad style. Mr. Rakesh and his family very supportive & friendly. We juz relaxed as we are at relative place. So much of fun. There was campfire & music. A very nice homestay located in the lap of nature yet easily accessible as it is on State Highway. Host Mr. Rakesh is very hospitable and gives personal attention to each and every guest. the rooms are clean and well maintained hot water facility available waterfalls mentioned by Mr Rakesh was an excellent getaway.. his mom serves excellent homemade traditional food he even made some additional special food on request as I had children along, Wud definitely suggest to visit this place for anyone looking for hassle free relaxed getaway in calm serene atmosphere.. ~ Mohammed A

My wife and I are from the UK and we are touring southern India on a motorcycle. We stayed at this beautiful guest house for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The location is great for the local attractions; trecking, temples, waterfalls and elephant park. The rooms are super clean and nothing is too much trouble for the host (Rakesh). The home cooked food was absolutely fantastic and the price was more than reasonable. The homestay is set within a small coffee plantation with wonderful wildlife and beautiful vegetation. ~ andy w

One of the best homestays. The hospitality, the arrangements, the food and the wonderful people. Everything is a top notch at this place. If you have a pet which is calm and quiet then it's a must to go place. The coffee estate and the sunset point inside the homestay makes us wonder that such a place exists. Right from the moment we booked this place, Mr Rakesh sent us the itenary and the iconic places in coorg. Their whole family literally adopted us for the 4 days we were there and never felt more comfortable. Lots of places to visit nearby and a pleasant , quiet stay in the midst of the forest makes this place wonderful. Mr Rakesh's parents- Always energetic, active and helping. The food prepared by them is still mouthwatering. Special mention to Rakesh's Son Yathin.. wonderful tour guide and awesome company. More than 5 Star ... Just awesome from Checkin to Check Out we were treated like relatives and not just business... Rooms are super clean and despite of weather rooms and beds are very clean shining... They provide food too... Homefood is excellent... Ch. Biryani and chicken fry awesome dishes .. Idly Sambhar is next level... 10 Star for food and taste.. They provided camp fire and hot water whenever needed.. Mr. Rakesh and his family gave good hospitality during our stay... This was one of the best stays I have ever had. The owner and his son, Yatish, were extremely friendly, and their hospitality towards us was excellent. The stay was very comfortable, and the price was also very reasonable. At midnight, we asked them for some food, and without any hesitation or inconvenience, they served us the best chicken fry we have ever had. They also offer great wine—we tried the jackfruit wine recommended by the owner, and it was very good. They have a fire camp as well, but you need to inform them in advance so they can arrange it. We couldn’t get it because someone else had already booked it, but as an alternative, they arranged a separate table for the six of us, which shows how much they care for their customers. A must-try activity is the air gun game. The service provided by Yatish was truly exceptional, and we will definitely visit the stay again. They also have estate sightseeing, which offers a very beautiful view and it's free of cost. The breakfast was delicious 😋 I highly recommend everyone to visit this stay. ~ LIKHITH H
